ARC0014-Double Arch, Arches National Park

Montalvo Photo Gallery

Double Arch in the Cove of Caves/Windows area of Arches National Park, Utah makes for a labyrinth type of scenario. These magnificent arches are intertwined and were formed by water erosion from above rather than the more typical erosion from the side. The larger opening (foreground) has a span of 148 feet and a height of 104 feet. It is the tallest opening and the second longest span.
